Tensile Properties

Vectran™ offers a distinct advantage over traditional metals in terms of strength-to-weight ratios.This isdemonstrated in Table 1,which lists the tensile properties and densities of various reinforcing materials. Table 2 gives the mechanical properties of Vectran™ 1500 denier yarn,which typically exceeds theseminimum specifications. Even higher tensile strengths are characteristically associated with lower deniers.
